Cincinnati Adventures 3
Nov. 28th, 2003 11:01 amThe Tales of Thanksgiving:
The gravy was bland so we fixed it...once we could get Andy's Mom out of the kitchen. Poor dear can't cook to save her life. His Aunt Trish was hilarious. She was so full of humor that I didn't feel so awkward and out of place. There were a few other interesting people whose names/relationships to A&J I can't seem to remember but it was overall an interesting time. The house was very hot...but that could have been the numerous glasses of wine I drank to keep myself from being irritated...plus it was White Zinfandel which is one of my favorites. The baby was as cute as he always is and it was a little hard to remember I can't show the little signs of affection to A&J that I normally show without thinking about it in front of his family. I was back in the closet in all the important ways. I felt a little strange at the prayer because...well...the whole not being Christian thing kind of does that to a person.
We came home after that and Jinny made some lovely hot chocolate. It tasted fantastic and completely helped me relax. We watched TV for a bit and we cuddled. Then we all went off to bed as we each had our duties to take care of the next day and had no time for anything more than cuddling. But I ate enough food that its a miracle I'm hungry again today at all.
I called my Mom to see how their Thanksgiving was going. It appears that my moron of an aunt has decided to get married again. She's turning 21 in December and has been married once, common law married twice, and has a baby. Now she's latched onto a new one that my grandmother politely refers to as "homely and ignorant" but that's about par for her course. My Dad is doing well and happy to be home.
Tonight is the Termathon. We are going to watch all three of the Terminator movies with popcorn and soda/alcohol. And I'm looking forward to that a lot. It will provide lots of cuddle time and I really want to see Terminator 3. I spent the day with Jinny today. I took her out to lunch at this little Eastern European indepedent restaurant and it was fantastic. I felt like I was back in Europe again. The food was a bit of home.
