It was wonderful to get to see [livejournal.com profile] xuth and of course it was difficult to leave. Sleeping in his arms is something that I ache for when we are not together. Lots of good constructive conversation was had. Lots of not so constructive conversation was had. *shrugs* Such is life. But I wouldn't trade getting to see him for anything in the world.

I voted in the Pegasus competition this year. It was my first time doing that. Sometimes I forget how much of a ConNewbie I am. *smiles* But it was wonderful hearing all of the great music. I had a lot of fun. Maybe I'll actually see about learning to play some filk. I always feel inspired after going to a Con and I do have a filk song in my head that I've been thinking about.

I got my first credit card in the mail today. A girl in the elevator asked me if I was going to go shopping. *shakes her head* I am continuously amazed by the way people of my generation do not understand the financial, or really any sort of, workings of the world. You'd think they'd have taught people about credit cards at some point.

We played water polo today in Water Fitness. I swear, if I have to play on the same team as that stupid motherfucker who does not understand the concepts of fair play I'm going to drown him myself. My team was ridiculous in the fact that they seemed to have no self-respect and no desire to play a game in such a way that the win would actually be worth something. I ended up yelling at them a lot. *sighs* I think this comes from the fact that my whole life I've been athletically challenged, but I always understood that you play a game in a way you would be proud of: you don't give up, you don't cheat and you respect your fellow players. Someone missed something serious in their personal development to think that attempted drownings and not respecting time outs for goalie changes are acceptable. If he does that again, I will not hesitate to tell him exactly what I think of him...I wish I had done it already. In fact, I did suggest that maybe he should sit out the game since he couldn't seem to play by the same rules as the rest of us. *grrrs*
