*sighs* So I thought today would be a good day. In review it was mostly a good day: I completed my internship stuff and turned it in, I had my German quiz cancelled, I am half-way through with the inventory of the letters for the digital collection. But then Computer Science class happened. I had a fiasco last week with my computer malfunctioning such that I was unable to take the first of three tests for the class. Today the professor informed me that I could either take a harder version of the test he gave the rest of the class, which I consider unfair as it was not my fault my computer malfunctioned and the professor had no clue what was wrong with it either, or I can agree to have this test grade dropped and make the other two tests in the class worth an equal percentage of my total test percentage. The problem with this is that I ABSOLUTELY knew how to do what was on this test. I have no way of knowing how I will do on the other two. It's very frustrating and he wants my answer by tomorrow in email...

Since you knew how to handle the test in class, I strongly suspect that you can handle the "harder" version of the test. Particularly if you think back on what you saw and brush up on any areas where you were uncertain.

I've pretty much decided just to drop the test. He basically told me that I wouldn't do well on the harder version and I think he's probably right because he's not going to let me start from scratch, he's going to make me just do the last half of the test. I know if I study hard I can do what I need on the other two tests.
