Firstly, I apologize to everyone who was waiting on this update. It seems like time keeps flying by and I don't get to do all the things I want to do after I've done all the things I have to do.
Everything went very smoothly and was loads of fun. I ordered my very first steak medium rare. And I loved it by the way. I also drank the first glass of red wine that I sincerely liked. It was something from Italy. I really don't know much beyond that except the year was 1997 and it was dry. *shrugs* As if I know what all of those things mean. I completely fell in love with the steak that Amy had...it was cooked Pittsburgh Rare...which, for all of you that have never heard of it, means it's seared darkly on the outside and could still moo on the inside. But it was fabulous. I had some of Amy's snifter of whiskey. It was something that started with a "T" (excuse me, I generally don't pay attention to things of this nature) and then later I tried Grappa. It was an entirely wonderful evening full of lots of good conversation and merriment.
Amy's parents and I seemed to hit it off well. We discussed some things and there was a general comfort level had. Singing in the car on the way back to Berea was lovely. I had so much fun....I would love to do it again. On top of that, Amy's mother is discussing sending Amy to see me for my birthday in July. If everything works out well my parents may be meeting both of the people I date. That's no pressure though. *laughs* Wow...you'd think it would scare me more to have them meet my parents...that seems to be the way it's supposed to work. But not everyone has parents as cool as mine.
