So the last thing I really wrote about was elvnsword coming home...

We have been settling in well together. He and the elf_baby have been settling in nicely.

We are back in the states on vacation now. I use the term vacation loosely as I spent the last three days at a doula training workshop. I'm very satisfied with how it went. I feel much better about my own birth experience now too. I need to write a post in a few days about how I feel about birth now and the whole rigamorale of what happened to me.

We spent the first three days hanging out with supurrkitten, bastardcat and wolfe_kitten. That was great and I can't wait to see them again. Fortunately, we'll get to see them again towards the end of the month.

We had a nice lunch the last day I was hanging out with them and jinny_e came and I got to meet someone new. It was nice. I don't get a lot of chances to just hang out with other moms and shoot the breeze. Much less to hang out with other cloth diapering, breastfeeding, attachment parenting types. It's so nice to feel like you are normal for a few hours!

We leave tomorrow to go to elvnsword's parents house. Anyway, I have a hungry little to feed.

So glad to hear that you guys are doing well and that the doula training went so wonderfully. And that you feel much better about your own birth experience. How cool is that? I'm personally so admiring of you for wanting to help other women have good birthing experiences, to say nothing of giving newborns a better transition. Could one possibly offer a great gift? (the answer would be NO).
