So today is chore day. I have so far just done a handful of things. I need to hop on the dishes here in a bit. At least empty the dishwasher so I can load it when I start feeling more productive.

Anyway, Accomplishments:

  • Washed diapers
  • Hung diapers out
  • Sorted through uniforms for [livejournal.com profile] elvnsword
  • Minor maintenance on uniforms
  • Food
  • Unload dishwasher
  • Run dishwasher

Ok, so that isn't much. I'm working on it. The baby has wanted to eat fifteen times and only went down for a nap twenty minutes ago. Now on to dishes. And I need to scrub out the bathtub.

Okay, I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but I will repeat this message until it gets thru:

GIVE YOURSELF MORE CREDIT!!!!!!!

This is a cease and desist order on self-flagilation (and I don't care how it's spelled, I haven't had any coffee yet)

Seriously Sis, you're your own worst critic.

I love you. *hugs*

You're awesome. None of us needs or wants you to be Superwoman, we just want you to be yourself.

It is incredibly hard to give myself credit when my house looks like a wreck! [livejournal.com profile] elf_baby is starting to act like she will start crawling any minute now. *sighs* My house is not even close to babyproof. Granted, she is very rarely not in the same room with me doing what I do, but I appreciate being able to put the baby down and take a shower every now and then. If I can't get the house clean, I can't do that anymore after she learns to crawl.

Hmmm, sounds like you're "borrowing trouble" as my mom would put it. She's not crawling yet, but you know she will be some time in the near future, so you want the house clean and babyproof NOW. . .

Revise your thinking:

1. Live in the present. This is a corny saying, but true - the past is gone, the future isn't here yet - right now is precious, that's why it's called the present.

2. Maybe you can focus on getting one area ready for "the crawl". A space in the livingroom that can be closed in, or the bedroom. . . after all, you're not going to want her to have access to the WHOLE apartment while you're in the shower, right?

When was the last time you grounded? You sound a little discombobulated. I love you and I'm a bit worried about you. You are precious to me. Are you eating right? Sleeping? Upset really that your sweetie had to leave again and projecting that on the apartment?
