So yesterday I went to Subway again. It's been a year since I've gone there. Yeah. I got food poisoning *again*. So never again. *blah* I did manage to call and make all the appointments I need to make...except my own dental appointment. I just keep putting that off and I'm not sure why.

Today [livejournal.com profile] elf_baby woke up the same time I did so I didn't get any early computer time. I've got a billion chores to get done. Ok, not a billion but a lot. I need to do dishes again. I'm still working on laundry from yesterday. I need to pick up around my house and take the trash out. Mom promised to come and play with the baby for a few hours after dinner so I can get some chores done. I'm just so tired all the time. I went to the commissary today and picked up a few things. I also went to housing and scheduled the last pick up of all the government furniture we have in the house. They come on Monday so I have to get everything together into that front bedroom. It's a ton of things. It will be nice to have it all out of the house. Sometime soon I need to get down to business and spackle the walls then repaint them. Ummm...in other news, I've been having crazy woozy spells and the baby won't go to sleep when I want her to. Maybe I'll try putting her in the high chair and do the dishes.

On top of that, all I can think about is the Pagan stuff I've been reading. When I have a few minutes free, I always want to sit down and read that stuff rather than fold a load of laundry or something. I've got some thoughts percolating that will come out eventually. Not today though...not today.

MeiMei - Stop trying to be Supergal!! Honestly. In the universal order of things - if your laundry doesn't get folded right away, or even - ever, no one but yourself will care.

Screw the chores! Write a list of "shoulds" and "have tos". Then look at each item in the "have to" list and re-evaluate. Look at the items on the "should" list and ask yourself - who am I *really* trying to please by doing this?

1. You're a new mom. IMHO the only thing that should be on either list is the Elf Baby.

2. You're husband is deployed. If you're cleaning the house for him, you've got a while to wait before he can appreciate it.

I love you dearly, and it kills me to read how crazy you're making yourself! It seems like you want to establish a routine, which is good, but that you're overdoing it. And you aren't leaving time for the things you do love - like reading your pagan books.

Just my reactions.

*hugs*

The woozy spells can sometimes be poor nutrition. (The baby gets the nutrients first, so if there isn't enough you can feel a bit icky.) I got that all the time the first few months until I started taking a multi-vitamin (and trying, not very successfully, to eat better). As soon as I started taking vitamins it totally went away.
