This morning I woke up and got moving some. Sylvia and I took a bath and she had a lot of fun playing in the water. I washed my sheets and a load of laundry. I got us both dressed and fed her breakfast a la boob. It's lunch time now and I'm calling to make my post-partum doctor's visit. Then I need to call and make an appointment for Sylvia's passport. I also promised Mom I'd call on the recall for the Jeep. So I'll try and take care of that this afternoon too. I'm going to check the temperature outside and maybe take my plants back outside if it isn't too cold. It's been going from chilly to warm really quickly here, so there's never any telling. I'm glad I planted in a laundry basket. It sure makes it easier to move things when the plants are small like they are now.

*sighs* I'm starving, but I can't seem to think of anything I want to eat. The doctor has me limiting my dairy because Sylvia was having problems with diarrhea and he was afraid she would develop colic. But I think it is the vitamins because when I cut down the amount she is taking, she stopped having diarrhea. I am trying to limit the dairy though because she's been spitting up a lot more. *sighs* My kingdom for cheese and sour cream.

I'm going to ask a nosy question about vitamins, because I'm like that. :-) Normally breastfed babies don't need vitamins (except possibly vitamin D if they are dark skinned and indoors a lot). As taking vitamins can interfere with her absorption of the nutrients in human milk (and often cause a lot of digestive distress), I'm wondering what the doctor's reasoning was for prescribing them?

It is very hard to get Vit. D in our region of Germany. It's very cold right now and very windy even when it is warm. Add to that the continual overcast nature of this area and we end up with vitamins. He decided she was slightly jaundiced despite the fact that her billirubens came back fine. I'm considering stopping the vitamins altogether though because they are causing her poop to be more greenish than yellowish and more liquid than is normal for her. I just don't like them.

*hugs*

Sounds like life is going okay - here too.

Unfortunately, we had some freak snow a few weeks ago and it killed the beautiful purple shamrocks we had bought...:(

Luv ya.
