So I went and bought some of the books that [livejournal.com profile] elenbarathi and [livejournal.com profile] sunfell suggested. Here's a list of what I am waiting on:

  • Hidden Wisdom by Richard Smoley; Jay Kinney
  • Witchcraft Today, Book One: The Modern Craft Movement (Witchcraft Today, Book 1) by Chas S. Clifton

Write reviews?

Awesome! After you've read them, perhaps you'd want to write reviews of them? I'd be interested to read them, and you might also consider posting them in reader reviews on amazon.com.

If a person were to ask me what one book I'd recommend for a person who was only going to read one, it would have to be True Magick. That's the one to ask for in libraries and bookstores, and to 'forget' in coffeeshops: it's appropriate for all ages, simple, ethical and straightforward, and clearly explains about things to watch out for.

Anyway, how cool to be awaiting such a package! LOL, better do all your errands before it arrives, because you know what you'll be doing when it does! :)

That is definitely a good idea. And a great way for me to put out there what I'm getting out of them so I can have feedback if I miss something huge and glaring. *chuckles* And you are absolutely right about wanting to hide away and just read for days. I had better try and finish all the books I'm working on now.

Have you read When, Why....If? by Robin Wood? I really liked its approach to ethics and morals. I haven't run into a lot of others who have read it though, so I'm curious if you have and what your impressions were.
