Bit of a Report

So we had a big family meeting yesterday. We just needed to sit down and renegotiate some of the chore stuff. That was an intense conversation though. Sometimes it's hard to talk about things like chores and labor division without bring in a lot of baggage from social conditioning and gender roles. But we seem to have hammered things out satisfactorily. I need to go empty the dishwasher as soon as I get done typing here.

We went to the Bauhaus today. elvnsword is on leave for a few days, so he came too. I bought a couple of flowers and hanging window boxes. I also bought a tomato and two bell peppers. They are cheery and waiting to go out on the balcony. I have to repot them first though. We picked up the chicken wire too to block off the balcony so the cats can go out there without going to visit the dog next door.

I am going to start a food journal today to keep track of what I eat this week. I had it pointed out to me that I probably have no idea how many calories I consume in a day. So I'm going to see how it goes and try to reduce it. That will probably help a lot.

Anyway, I'm off to repot and empty the dishwasher.
