I went to therapy today. The therapist was nice and funny. She was poly, kink, bi and random-other-labels friendly. That is pretty cool considering that she is the free therapist provided through my insurance and works at the social work office on an army post. I was very relieved. I had expected that things would go much more awkwardly and that I would have to hide various aspects of my life. This is problematic as it is very difficult for a therapist to help you deal with your problems if they don't know all of the facts.

I made a delicious beef and vegetable soup today. I also did a couple of loads of dishes. I took a fabulous bath and relaxed. I played an hour and a half of CoV.

I'm going to go and do some work on my druid studies. I am going to mail in my application in the next month. That makes me happy.

Sounds like a really nice day... one I'm almost envious of, in some ways.

How're the druid studies going, btw? Do you have any questions I can answer, or issues i might help you work through, in that area?

The druid studies seem to be going ok. I don't know if I told you what I'm working with. I'm working on the First Degree curriculum from the AODA. The main problem I had in the beginning was narrowing down my focus. It requires three different paths which deal with basic pagany-type things (i.e. recursive meditation, ceremonial ritual and establishing appreciation/connection with nature) and then requires at least one other realm of study called spirals. Well, I had already been studying four or so of the subjects of the spirals on my own. I found I really needed to narrow it down and work largely on improving two of them and just maintain the other two at my current level of knowledge. I was getting overwhelmed because I was trying to study too much at once and I simply didn't have the time. I'm currently working on the divination and musical spirals. I have been slowly improving my knowledge base on poetry, but it's having to fall to the wayside. My medicinal herb knowledge is remaining steady, but I haven't had the time to really delve further into the Chinese and Auryvedic systems that I was studying earlier in the year.

I'm glad we got to chat about this on IM for a little bit, today. Perhaps by focusing on one thing at a time, with the others being a break/respite from getting bored with the main focus, it can help. But I hope whatever you decide in the end to do will work out for you.

Drop me a line if you find you still need to talk about it, though.
