I have done a lot this afternoon. I just got motivated suddenly and realized that I could do some small chores in my house to keep it at the same level of semi-clean its at so that it doesn't keep sliding. I just was not motivated this morning at all.
elvnsword had to go to work at god-o-clock this morning and hasn't been back all day. I presume this is all having to do with his prep work. *sighs* I just wish that I had better motivation when he's not here to get things done. Maybe I should start taking my St. John's Wort when his alarm goes off in the morning, resetting it for 8am and going back to bed. That way I can make sure I take the pills early enough in the day that my whole mornings aren't washes.
I was going to try and put the bench together today to go out on the balcony, but I couldn't find our box of screws. I'll have to ask
elvnsword when he gets home. If he doesn't know either, then I'll have to acquire new ones at the hardware store. We get paid today so it shouldn't be much of a problem. It makes me feel good to try and do an artsy project a week. I just like the boost to my creativity that it is. I had forgotten how much I love working with furniture.
This morning I played guitar and read some of the books I've been working on for my druid path. I played so much guitar that my fingertips are still sore now!! But it damn sure feels good to play a piece again and be able to notice the difference. My finger picking is growing in leaps and bounds. I should have done this years ago. Chords aren't everything and I was always much better at finger picking in the first place. I've almost finished my first book on ritual. I am still working on the poetry book though. It is incredibly hard as so much of it is deep and I want to read it a billion times. Luckily, I bought a copy of it so that makes it possible.
Book Recommendation Request:
I need to acquire a decent book on tarot that discusses more of the possibilities that can be reached with them as divination tools than what each particular card means. I'm interested in finding a book with a variety of different layouts and the history of the layouts. I'm also looking for a book on correspondences between different card meanings. For instance, my in depth book on my deck includes the idea of cards that correspond to each other and I'm not really clear what all that means. But it needs to not be a basic book; I've been reading for almost five years and the beginner books make me want to poke myself in the inner eye. Anyone have any suggestions?
