elvnsword and I went and filled out our taxes with a tax representative. We have to mail them in this year because we need to pay by money order and we both forgot to take our banking information. We are getting a nice refund ($2000+) but we unfortunately owe the state of Kentucky around $140. This is largely due to the fact that Berea does not take taxes out of student labor paychecks. Hoorah for Berea's backwardness. Anyway, it should be pretty simple to take care of the payment. But this took the whole morning because the tax preparer was not familiar with the tax codes dealing with scholarships and grants, so he had to look them up.
Since getting home after lunch, I have accomplished a fairly decent list of things. I completely finished unpacking and putting away my clothes from the trip. I gathered up all the clean clothes from the laundry room and will be folding them. Then there will be the trips into the bedroom to put things away. I also have the second load of laundry I've washed in and started. I cleaned the filters on the dishwasher and am now running an empty load to clean out its insides. I wiped down the cabinets and have started both dishes and recycling round up throughout the house. The house looks better and is starting to improve...no where near finished but I'm getting there.
I stopped by the library on the way home and checked out various books for my druid study. I also started my meditation regimen this morning. It's much harder than I had been hoping for and than I remember it being. It probably just has to do with the fact that I have much more on my mind than I did when I was younger.
