Life Update
Mar. 22nd, 2004 05:15 pmSo apparently I have completely lost my mind and decided to double major. History and Women's Studies...yes...I know...I hate women's studies. That's not the point. The point is that Women's Studies is one area where there is an overwhelming need for good scholarship. And even if I am not much else I am a good scholar.
My internship is official now. *does the happy dance* As soon as I email in the paperwork of course....*is planning to do that tomorrow morning*. It appears that I'm going to be working at special collections for the rest of the time I'm in college...which is fine because I want to grow up to do what I'm doing now.
Finally turned in my laptop today...there will be no more cracks or screens that partially fall off or power cords that fray...ok so my power cord will probably fray again at some point in it's existence.
I got a package from my mom today. If anyone was wanting to eat Cajun food...give me a holler. Also I think I might want to host a girl's night here at the dorm if anyone is interested. With my wide range of talents I'm sure we could think of something to pass the night. (FYI that was not a proposition...unless you're interested...) And I'm a pretty decent cook too...*grins*
My mom turned 39 yesterday....wow is that shocking. My aunt and uncle who live in Boston called to tell her Happy Birthday and talked to her about
xuth and I. They said that we seemed very in love with each other (imagine that...). And also they were very shocked at how grown up I am. But the last time they saw me was the Christmas of my freshman year of college. My mom told them that the last year was really hard for me (as you all know...) and that I seemed to be coming out of it a better person. She also said that they were proud of me and that for the first time in my life she honestly thinks I'm happy. She's so glad that I'm starting to live my life for me and that I'm doing such a good job of it. *smiles* Talk about some major momma-lovins.
