I'm dropping the senior capstone course for my major. I had an "altercation" with the professor in class this morning that included berating me for thirty minutes and that was enough. I was already tired of the fact that the professor is a horrible educator who has yet to give an honest-to-goodness lecture. And so now I'm going to do an independent study with my favorite history professor over women in european history. So it all actually ended well.

I managed to wash a load of clothes tonight. I went to drumming and that was absolutely fantastic. I had forgotten how good drumming is for my soul. I had also forgotten that I "don't suck" at it. I picked up all the rhythms fairly quickly. I learn to drum so much faster than dance....

I finished book number fourteen today and I'm going to start book number fifteen. I also made a list of history articles and such to read about historiography. I had a professor email them to me a bit ago when I started getting interested in it all.

In other news...I think I might go on a date with someone. He asked me for a date tonight but I had the drumming. We'll see each other tomorrow and I'm free all evening so maybe good things will happen. I think I'm supposed to do water aerobics...but I'm sore from the drumming. Lots of arm work.
