I had written this long comment response from my email notification but apparently something ate it.
*hugs* That class is actually one of the best history classes I've ever taken. It focused from pre-WWI up through WWII and the changes that happened in society due to the massive death during that whole generation (i.e. WWI, Armenian genocide, Russian Revolution and Purges, WWII, Holocaust). We explored how this effected the concept of the person and how governments changed. We read a book you might like called Rites of Spring that is a different view of WWI and WWII history.
