I'm planning to remove all of the dyed hair from my head in the next year or so. The question I have is whether I should just buzz it now and let it grow in or whether I should cut portions of it off (i.e. cut it to my chin now, in a few months when it's grown cut it off to my chin again). I really have no idea what's the best way to go about it as I don't really consciously grow my hair so I'm not sure what will work as the better method. I had always thought hair grows faster when it's short but that may be an old wive's tale.

I think, if you are going to cut it, cut it to your chin right now...then wait a couple months and cut it to your chin again. At least this way your hair will still have a semblance of length (you remember how often you said you wanted your hair longer after you shaved it last time)...
