It appears that I am going to be doing a majority of the work on the digitization project here at the archives. It will include scanning in over 300 images and formatting them for the webpage. On top of this I'll have to be learning new software because they have a specific program they have to use to create the webpage if it is going to be accessible through the Digital Library of Appalachia. Apparently they want it to be accessible for them also. I'm very excited about this project because it's entirely something like what I want to be involved with in the real job market. I'm totally enjoying everything I'm having to learn to do this project though. *smiles* Ok...so maybe there's something inside of me that at one time wanted to be more-than-your-average-computer-user when I was growing up and that part of me is sort of doing this happy dance about learning all this stuff I didn't know before. Tonight the God O'Clock club is planning to go swimming for about an hour or so. I also have a German test on Friday. I'm a bit nervous but I intend to study my ass off for it. I'm still lonely though...*smiles softly and a bit wistfully* it is getting better though.
