Birth Control Stuff

So I absolutely hate birth control pills. I just can't stand the taste of them and they drive me crazy. My therapist and I also have a strong belief that the depression I have, which is linked to my menstrual cycle, is partly caused by hormonal birth control pills. I'm really wanting to find a different type of birth control, as I have no desire to birth a child any time soon...if ever, and I am running into serious barriers because of my age. That's one thing I really hate dealing with here. I have been seriously thinking about an IUD and I hope that they will do this because it is a temporary solution and by the time it comes out I might be old enough to get something permanent. But the emphasis would be on the might because of the fucked up way they run birth control in this country and the belief that women can't make up their minds to not have children unless they've had one!
