Busy Day

Mom spent last night in her house. It's starting to really come together over there. I'm supposed to go over before I head out to the FRG picnic. She hasn't decided whether she wants to go or not yet. I've been going pretty much since I got up this morning. I'm not necessarily doing a lot, but I am doing stuff.

Accomplishments:

• Made the bed
  
• Dressed the baby
  
• Took a shower
  
• Put in wrap to wash
  
• Cleaned cat box
  
• Cleaned bathroom sink and toilet
  
• Watered plants
  
• Folded load of diapers
  
• Voted in LJ election
  

I need to get something to eat but I'm just barely hungry. I have a few other things I want to do today before heading out to the picnic. I want to get the dishwasher emptied. I want to get a package ready to mail to elvnsword as I've been procrastinating on that. I want to pick up one area of my bedroom.

Thoughts on Buying Land

So elvnsword and I have been casually looking through online listings for property. We have daydreams of what we'd like to buy. It's a bit easier for us to imagine actually buying something now that we have 17K saved or so. We'll have quite a bit more saved before we actually consider sitting down and signing papers or anything. Anyone have sites they like to look at and dream over land on? We're thinking we want some rural land with onsite water that we can put a yurt on. We've been thinking about buying the land in the next four years or so and then paying it off before we get out of the army. Depending on how much land we get, that is very feasible. Anyone have experience buying land and want to point out some good resources? I don't know how very serious we are, but we will have 20K by the end of the year and that's enough for us to put a decent downpayment on a variety of options. So we'd much appreciate advice from those who have been there and done that.
