Working Hard Today
Feb. 9th, 2008 02:28 pmMom and I cleaned up the mess that was the floor in my bedroom. I still have clothes to put away and my bed to strip and re-make. But overall it looks much better and I'm not embarassed to have people see it tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow I am getting the new-to-me free mattresses. I still haven't checked with the furniture store to see if they sell just the frames for mattresses. I need to get on that. As soon as I find that out, I can get the army to pick up the bed in the front bedroom and I'll probably have them go ahead and take the dining table and chairs. I haven't completely decided on that yet...I need to weigh some of the pros and cons.
Watered the plants today. They seem not dead, which is good. I really need to figure out what I'm going to plant on the balcony this year and start planning for that. I want to start the seeds in the next few weeks. My indoor little greenhouse thing was one of the best expenses I made yesterday. I know for sure I'm going to start tomatos. I bought spinach and cucumber and a few other seeds the end of the planting season last year when they were on sale. They keep just fine and I see no point in paying full price for them. I need to see about going by self-help in the next few weeks and see what kind of options I have to get soil from them. I know they do give it out, but it may be only to building co-ordinators. Can't hurt to try. It would nice to get the soil for free this year.
Mom wanted to finish working on the canvases today. I just don't know what to put on the rest of them. I went through my bookcase and pulled out books I'm not going to end up reading and need to get rid of. I am trying to decide what to do with them. I really should see about selling them on amazon or donating them to Africa. I just don't quite know what to do with them.
I need to take a shower soon. I feel...stinky *grins*. I'm also feeling like lighting some incense and changing some of the balance up in here. But for now, having the windows open at least helps flush some of the older air out. One thing I hate about winter is the stuffy feeling the inside of the house gets sometimes.
