Beltane & Rest of Week
May. 3rd, 2007 04:21 pmBeltane went very well.
elvnsword and I had a private ceremony and it was just wonderful. We had never really performed any sort of semi-formalized rituals together so it was a growing and learning experience. It reminded me again how lucky I am to have a partner that shares my faith.
The plants have been going wonderfully. I repotted some of my herbs because they were ready to get out of the incubator that I had them in. I also started some tomato and cucumber seeds. I went to the Bauhaus and picked up a tomato plant, two bell pepper plants and some gorgeous purple flowers whose name escapes me. My balcony is starting to look like a cheery little green oasis out there. Now I just need to get a pad to go on the bench out there...it's damn hard on the bum.
Mom and I have been cleaning up my room today.
elvnsword is off playing army for a little bit so that leaves us time to clean without the tornado he can be coming in and messing it up again. Things are looking really excellent in there and I'm excited.
We also went downtown today and hit the farmer's market. It's Spargel season here. (Asparagus) We picked up some gorgeous young stalks, a mango, some Bergkaese (kind of cheese), Hirschwuerzen (Deer sausage) and some Zweibelnbrot (onion bread). It is all looking to make a rather delicious dinner. We also had some fantastic Greek food for lunch. I'm still pretty comfortable so it was decently sized.
Overall, I've been pretty exhausted today though. I have been up since 6:30am and haven't been able to get to sleep any of the time I've laid down to take a nap.
