Feeling Blah

When elvnsword came in this morning, I didn't wake up so he let me sleep. *sigh* It was very sweet of him but really just acerbated the fact that my sleep schedule has been all wonky. So now I feel like crap and have energy to do nothing. *grumble*

I felt like egg drop soup for lunch so I looked up a recipe until I found I liked and fiddled with it some. It just finished up and so now I'm just waiting on elvnsword to get home with Black. I'm pretty sure I made enough soup for every one. Of course, this soup by itself probably won't be enough for the two of them. They'll have to figure something else out to eat too. The whole house smells delicious though and the soup tastes fantastic. I finally mastered the technique of getting the wispy egg bits instead of something that looks like a boiled scrambled egg...don't ask. It takes talent to screw things up like I do.

I'm going to try and keep working on the laundry today. I was supposed to go to the commissary today to pick up ingredients for food for the rest of the week. Really, I just don't feel like moving. I may try to compromise with what I have to cook here and come up with something else. I don't know.

So I talked to my mom for about thirty minutes this morning and she got me all grounded and such. I went to the commissary and picked up groceries. I went to the library and turned in a book. I spent two hours hanging out with elvnsword this afternoon when he was off from work. I just put the last of our dinner into the oven. We're having smoked sausage, fried cabbage and cornbread. We're also gonna have a clementine and some grapes for dessert. *does the happy dance* Yay! I love food and I really like cooking.

I picked up some apple sauce today so I can do some low fat baking. I want to try a few good bread recipes. I need to use up some of my flax seed and that is one of the easiest ways to do it. I'm thinking about sneaking some of it into the pizza dough for the party on Friday. Meh. Who knows.

I just feel all cheerful and stuff. *spreads the love*
