And so the flight was uneventful and I made it without a problem. [livejournal.com profile] elvnsword got an extended lunch and that was nice. The house was not a wreck and that made me happy. There's still quite a bit of cleaning to be done, but that's no different than the state it was in before I left.

BAD NEWS: Apparently there was a limit on the amount of time a car could be left at the shipping point before it become declared abandoned. Apparently, the SOP is to pick it up within 20 days of it reaching the country. This would have been lovely to know. Instead, we were told that we had up to a year to pick up the car and thus [livejournal.com profile] elvnsword was not allowed to take the driver's license test for any of those crucial weeks. I repeat, any of those weeks. I, consequently, was not able to do so either because of various other obligations and appointments. We weren't concerned however, as we had been assured that the car would be fine and waiting on us. I have to call the government agent tomorrow and try to stop the process of declaring my car abandoned. Both my husband and I have missed the driver's licensing test this week due to my travelling back to Germany. We have to wait until next Tuesday. Obviously, we are going to do everything in our power to pass that test....but this is ridiculous!! The information we received was GROSSLY inaccurate and the notice that the car was in country did not include the information on the 20 day limit. I'm so angry right now I could spit.

Well, I accidentally took a nap yesterday. Accidentally in that I had been intending to do something entirely different when I laid down on the bed for a few minutes and woke up an hour later. As such, I am now awake, completely awake mind you, at 6am. That would be 11pm Oklahoma time. That's ok though. I had been intending to start my meditation exercises today and so now I have plenty of time to do so before [livejournal.com profile] elvnsword comes back for breakfast.

I started my music exercises yesterday. That was pretty exciting. I also looked into the requirements for joining the AODA (Ancient Order of Druids in America). I'm going to see about applying for membership after we get paid on the 15th. It requires an application letter and then I can begin my official studies and move towards the 1st degree. After the 2nd degree I can apply for the priesthood. I fully intend to study as much as I can and join the official priesthood because it will make certain bits of paperwork *much* easier and because I've always wanted to do it anyway.

We go to file our taxes today. Hoorah...or something like that. Hopefully, we'll get all the money back. Or at least a big chunk of it. I also have to call about the car in two hours or so and sincerely hope that we can get an extension of the time it's allowed to stay there as it is impossible for us to take the driver's test until Tuesday.
