I'm writing my very first post from our internet at home!!! Yay! It got set up today and only took about 10 minutes. This is very good. Now I'll actually be able to read and keep up with things. Here's to the first of many rambly and pointless posts that serve to feed my self-gratification. *wink*

So, it's been a bit since I've updated. We had all of our household goods and our hold baggage delived last week. The house is slowly starting to impersonate a house again and not just the cess pit/disorder and chaos that it has been impersonating. I have most of the boxes empty but the organization is still lacking and dare I mention the pile of laundry taller than my head? *sigh* I'm tackling it one task at a time. It is getting done, it just isn't done yet.

[livejournal.com profile] elvnsword and I celebrated our one year anniversary and life trudges on. We had a fairly good time. I got him D&D stuff and he got me a new guitar (*squee*) that is mountains of wonderful and sounds absolutely delicious. I can't keep my hands off it and that is saying something. I may even get that song finished that I've been writing/tweaking/poking with a stick for the last three years or so.

I got offered a job which I am seriously contemplating taking but no firm decisions there yet. It requires some research on my part but sounds decent. Some light programming for hourly wage. Nothing to write home about, but better than the nothing I'm currently filling my resume with.

Next week both of the cats go in to get spayed. Wow, is my life exciting. No really. It was time. If the cats look at my husband lustfully and yowl one more time I may start taking it personal. *grin* We should have gotten it done months ago but things just kept getting in the way. It's hard to schedule vet appointments for cats who need shots first when you're only going to be in an area for six months. And, realistically, things have been too hectic in getting settled in for us to realistically schedule the appointment before this.

I made the regular new years resolutions. Ya know, eat healthier and be more active, create, live, be happy. That sort of stuff. So far, things are going ok. I had already started a lot of the eating healthier stuff and [livejournal.com profile] elvnsword has been encouraging me to be more active. This includes teaching me some basic self-defense/martial arts/things that make my arms sore and running with me. I am endeavoring to start up my sewing and fabric artwork more as soon as the unpacking is finished. I have a whole quarter of a bedroom to use to my desire *grin*. So that's looking to be a plus. Also, I've managed to start on the wanting a garden plan. We bought a small Jasmine plant earlier this month when we visited my brother and sister-in-law. It has been flowering nicely and just makes me cheerful to look at. So hooray for plants.

That's most of what I have to contribute for the most. Be well and try to do something good.
