Dear Applicants for "Dances Born of Oppression in Argentina and Brazil,"

Dr. ************ and I would like to thank you again
for your application for our upcoming short term course. As you know,
we had a very, very large number of highly qualified applicants. After
weighing a large number of factors, we have now made our final
decisions. However, we want you to know that we spent many, many hours
reading over your appications, your essays, as well as your
recommendations, followed by many hours discussing all of these.
Truely, we wish that we could take more of you with us. We will be
writing additional emails this evening to those of you who we want to
accept into the course as well as a few of you who we would like to ask
to be alternates. If you do not receive one of these additional emails
this evening, we do hope that you will understand.

At this point, it's been an hour since that email went out. I'm guessing I didn't make it since it doesn't take an hour to send out 20 emails. Guess I'll be sticking around for something local. Yeah me.
