Day Report...

So I'm officially only part-slacker now. I finished up the history paper, am almost finished with the program due Friday, read all of my women's studies. Now I just have to crash study for my two presentations tomorrow and get some sleep. I'm so tired of classes. I only have about 400 pages to read over break *groans* and 250 of it is by Simone DeBeauviore (sp?). After Foucault, I'm not sure I can deal with any more French philosophers.

hyroic_heelyr gave me a CD player today so many thanks to him. I now have something to listen to on my flight to Boston. I did not get the TA position I applied for. The professor had entirely reasonable reasons to turn me down so I'm trying not to be bothered by it (with half success). So it appears that I will be finishing up the digital collection project at the archives next semester. Assuming they don't give my baby to someone else over the summer and decide not to give it back. That would really upset me considering that I have headed up this project from the beginning. *sighs* But if they don't give me a drone to do data entry it may be a reality. Tomorrow is the meeting to discuss it with the bosses. Here's hoping they listen to me for a change.

xuth and I are planning what all we're going to do while we're in Boston. I'm really looking forward to the down time. On some level, it surprises me how much I just enjoy being home when I'm with him. I'm very comfortable just curling up on the couch for a week (which would drive him crazy...and for good reason). I think it's just that I'm so comfortable around him and so myself that I don't want to go out in the world and give up the security I have...even if it's just for a few hours.
