Thinking of Song Lyrics...

I was flipping through my song notebook and saw a song I wrote the summer after freshman year and started playing it again. I'm thinking about changing the chorus. It's been a long time since I've spent some time with my guitar like this. It really was a good thing for me. Anyway, the lyrics are hidden behind a cut-tag because I refuse to spam the world with my doggerel *grins*.

Stir your love into my coffe cup
Stand in your doorway with a smile
It's an hour til you're up
So I watch you sleep for a while
Count the smiles cross your lips...
Do you dream of me
Trace your jaw with fingertips
Cuz nothing is what it seems

*CHORUS*
We don't
Communicate
We don't
Communicate
Cuz we don't
Communicate

Look at you and know that you're fine
Take my soul to new heights
Steady as the pass of time
Don't understand all the fights
Watch you sleep in my bed
Think about when you left
Things that were unsaid
Loving you is a little death

*CHORUS*

Loving you is a little death

This song was written back when I was on a food kick...every song I wrote had food in it. If you want, ask me some time about "Chili Pepper Love" and I'll explain it all to you. It's grown a lot since I first wrote, but it still rates barely above doggerel. It was the most requested song of all of them that I play...some of my friends really liked it.
