Back in Berea
So after missing my flight yesterday and ending up on a later plane (which gave me and my dad and extra hour to hang out so it wasn't all bad), I headed home with
bastardcat and
supurrkitten. They offered their hospitality which was very welcome after the exhaustion I had been hit with. I slept well and was very comfy. *hugs you both*
This morning
supurrkitten bundled me off with some toast (wrapped in aluminum foil of course) and tea in a travel mug (which I shall cherish and use regularly). The rain was insane and the driving in general sucked but I managed to get into Berea just short of noon. Unfortunately, my period had hit full force while I was driving (I had been hoping it would change its mind...sounds silly but it was a birth control thing). After dealing with that, I checked my mail and checked into my dorm room.
The room is exactly as small as I left it. I paid my term bill, validated my ID and had three meetings about getting off the meal plan. I haven't heard anything definitive yet but I'm really hoping it will work out. I then went out to
draloreshimare's place and we picked up some of the basics for her to move in and picked up some of my basics. We checked her in and moved in our stuff before heading back to her place with Chris Kemper. Once there, we cooked a lovely chicken and broccoli alfredo and had that for dinner while hanging out with Chris.
We headed back here about 8pm and unloaded a few more things before I headed off to park. Unfortunately there were no spaces at Anna Smith but I did manage a parking spot at BlueRidge (which meant walking back in the rain). I get back to find out that the air conditioner in my dorm room has been leaking water all over the carpet...oh the joys of dormitories.
I'm now going to crash for the night as I'm supposed to meet with the professors in the history department tomorrow to talk about what needs to be done in the office. *yawns* Night All.
